Greater visual balance could be achieved by making the columns the same length and equally distributing the images on both sides of the vertical, central axis. Texture involves the surface quality of an object, and it is another essential component in achieving balance in design. Combining different textures can add depth and visual interest to the design, while using similar textures can create a sense of cohesion.
